Just a few lines to introduce myself:
I always knew that I love writing (and have the necessary talent) but never pursued it as a career due to a lack of encouragement and self-confidence when I was young. Then, for the last few years, I have been busy following another dream, namely completing a bachelor degree in psychology, which I have almost accomplished.
Unfortunately, I have been holding myself back for a long time, but now I think it is time to combine my passions and finally start writing, incorporating all the fascinating knowledge from my studies as well as the ocean of inspiration that is offered by life, family and parenting experience.
Amongst others, my interests are in areas such as the challenges of raising teenagers, the implications of chronic illness, or the underlying reasons for addictions. Expecting that it will take some time (or a lot), I am determined to one day complete a book somewhere along these lines.
In the meantime, I am grateful to have found this network through which some people may hear my name, maybe read a few of my things on my blog below, and possibly even remember me later on. I am aware that I have less expertise and experience to show for than most other members, but I hope to get noticed and maybe find someone who is willing to give me a go with a small job so I can prove myself!
Thanks for listening :-)
You'll get most out of the site by writing blogs and starting up forum discussions, as well as interacting with members directly.
Go forth...
Bev
